About silvia

CONTACT: si.storchi@gmail.com

An independent filmmaker exploring humans through their innermost connection: the one with their environment. For millennia nature shaped cultures around the world, today societies and modernization (and monetization) are affecting the Earth and traditions to a degree we have never experienced before.

Born in the Italian countryside, Silvia studied environment and media. Through work and life she developed a great interest in ethno-anthropology. After many years living in the biggest concrete jungle in Europe, she moved out to other continents to experience life like old men.

She has been working for environmental, cultural, art, science and youth organisations, making documentaries, reportage, promo video. She worked in crew and independently, in film development, direction, camera operation and editing.

Her videos have been screened at festivals, events, TVs and online with an award for Best Documentary Film on Civil Rights at Valle d’Itria Film Festival 2014.
